Summer - Under Construction!

Summer time is finally here. The semester is over, tests are done with, and all my essays/projects have been handed in. One would think that summer time relaxation period would kick in but as it turns out, this summer will be a bigger challenge then I expected.

I have dismissed all my residents so RA duty is over. I am not required to be in the residence hall to monitor anyone anymore, which allows me to at least enjoy my nights a little more. My RA job for the year is almost done now I am in charge of making sure every room is ready for the school to do any renovations it needs to do. I will soon be done with this aspect of my job, meaning I can focus on more important things like job hunting.

I am currently looking for a summer marketing internship but as it turns out, this is not as easy as I thought it would be; after finding one, I need to find a place to live here in Burlington, VT. Another thing that I have to find is a part time job because this summer will be quite expensive. I will be taking 2 classes on the side to add to my time/money consumption.

But luckily I am very optimistic so it should all work out in the end.

Today's Accomplishments

Well Hello!

This will be my first post! I am excited! This is what is currently going on with me so enjoy and comment on what you would like to comment on.

I have been working on my portfolio website for a while now and it seems as though it is finally coming to a close. Although I do believe that I will undoubtedly change it in the future, as it stands, it is to my liking. I have added my resume, which I have been working on and this blog. (Marketing at work)

I am a marketing major at Champlain College. I have enjoyed my time there and as it comes to a close for the semester, I am left with a bunch of things to think about. Internet marketing is very strategical, you need to understand how to go about it or you will be lost. I am currently trying to use the skills I have used over the past year to allow for my photo website (http://www.aceduo.com) to become number one when you search for the domain name and/or my name. I have managed to make it first when searching for Aceduo and second when searching Alberto Aviles. So far so good.

Life is getting pretty hectic with deadlines coming and lots of things going on in between. School work due dates are just around the corner, work is almost every day until the end, and looking for summer jobs/internships is currently high on my priority list.

Better get back to work. It's a good thing the weekend isn't supposed to bring great weather because now I can get some real work done.
